NHEG Radio Host Anna Shi
Anna Shi lives in Massachusetts. She loves reading, acting, storytelling, singing, biking, running, origami, and spending time with her family and beloved cat.
Additionally, Anna has been volunteering at her town’s library for nearly four years. She helps children with crafts, reads stories to little kids, aids the staff with crowd control, and helps plan for big children’s events at the library. She also works at the library putting books, magazines, audio books, DVDs, and CDs back in their rightful place.
In recent years, Anna established a compost bin system at her high school with the help of her fellow students in a club that she founded, the Eco Club. She overcame multiple obstacles and learned a lot about approvals and regulations that must be met before starting a project. This achievement helped Anna grow as a person and opened her eyes to more ways of being eco-friendly. When she attends college, Anna hopes to study in a field related to environmental science.
